Symptoms and Tuning Advice

Bike

No grip on steep off camber turns
- Steepen fork head tube angle
- Reduce front spring rate, lower pressure, reduce compression damping
- Check rear sag, decrease by adding preload or air pressure

Pedal strikes, bottom bracket too low
- check sag, increase compression damping(low speed)
- Move flip chip to higher position if available

Loss of high speed stability
- Check rear sag, increase by reducing preload or air pressure
- Check front sag, decrease by adding preload or air pressure
- Slacken head tube angle, lower position for rear flip chip

Excessive fork dive and rear kicking when entering steeper braking bumps
- Increase fork stiffness, decrease sag
- Slow shock rebound damping, increase compression damping

Shock

Fork

• SAG RANGE 28-32 %, IDEAL PRELOAD 1.5-2.5 TURNS, MINIMUM PRELOAD IS 1.0 TURNS, MAX 3.5 TURNS

• SHOCK BOTTOMS THEN IN 2 ON COMPRESSION
• IF KICKS SIDE TO SIDE THEN OUT 2 ON COMPRESSION(HIGH SPEED)

• PACKS ON 2ND & 3RD BUMP THEN REDUCE SAG AND REBOUND OUT 2

• KICKS STRAIGHT UP THEN TRY INCREASING SAG AND REBOUND IN 2

• POOR TRACTION THEN INCREASE SAG AND OUT 2 ON COMPRESSION

• POOR PEDAL PERFORMANCE THEN IN 4 ON COMPRESSION ADD PRELOAD

• MUDDY CONDITIONS - INCREASE COMPRESSION FORKS & SHOCK 1-2 CLICKS IN

*note* GOING UP OF DOWN FROM TUNED SPRING RATE MAY REQUIRE RETUNING OF REBOUND DAMPING

• FORKS BOTTOM THEN ADJUST RAMP-UP FIRST THEN COMPRESSION IN 2
• IF TOO HARSH ON SMALL BUMPS THEN TRY COMPRESSION OUT 2
• IF TOO HARSH THRU MIDSTROKE THEN REDUCE OIL HEIGHT AND THEN TRY COMPRESSION OUT 2
• PACKS ON 2ND AND 3RD BUMP REDUCE SAG (ADD PRELOAD) THEN REBOUND OUT 2
• BOUNCES UP AFTER JUMPS THEN TRY REBOUND IN 2, REDUCE RAMPUP
• ARM PUMP OR HEAD SHAKE THEN OUT 2 REBOUND
• BELOW 40° F DECREASE FORK REBOUND 2 CLICKS OUT
• MUDDY CONDITIONS -INCREASE COMPRESSION FORKS & SHOCK 1-2 CLICKS IN

FOR HYBRID CARTRIDGE SYSTEM ONLY:
• FOR MORE LINEAR FEEL ADD ACCUMULATOR FOAM SLEEVE DECREASE AIR PRESSURE, LOWER OIL HEIGHT BY 10 MM, REMOVE TOKENS AND INCREASE PRELOAD
• FOR MORE PROGRESSIVE FEEL THRU ENTIE STROKE THEN ADD TOKENS AND DECREASE PRELOAD AND AIR PRESSURE
• FOR MORE RAMPUP AT END STROKE THEN ADD OIL (RAISE OIL HEIGHT) AND DECREASE PRELOAD, ADD ADDITIONAL TOKENS

*note* PRELOAD IS THE INITIAL AMOUNT THE SPRING COMPRESSES WHEN ASSEMBLED(SPACERS ARE 3 MM INCREMENTS)
*note* RAMPUP IS CONTROLED BY OIL HEIGHT AND MORE FOAM VOLUME
*note* PROGRESSION IS CONTROLED BY TOKENS AND LESS FOAM VOLUME
